So I have a bit of news, Everyone! After being in United States for 4 years, I ended my stint there last week and finally returned home. For Good!
I left US on 1st and even though reached home 20 hours later than expected, I at least got to see some great films on my way. First in line was Mud(2013), which may well be the best 2013 film I have seen yet. I loved the way story unfolded. But the biggest surprise of my flight was a silent, Spanish, Snow white story set in the bull-fighting world, Blancanieves(2013). I had heard few good things about it before but I still didn't expect much from it and managed to really surprise me. Third one was Wong Kar-Wai's The Grandmaster(2013). I can say that this was probably the most anticipated of the three but also most disappointing. Even though there were many signature Kar-Wai elements in it, there were parts of it that made no sense to me and were in no way connected to the main story. Everything else sucked on that flight but at least I got the best in-flight entertainment I have seen.
I am back home after 2 and half years. So I expect the next few weeks to be full of re-uniting with Family and Friends and almost no to very little time for blogging. I might catch few movies here and there but I am pretty sure I won't be able to sit down and write anything. I will write a Blind Spot entry and the Wrap-up post at the end of the month but for the rest of this month, I expect this place to be dormant. I might pop-up here and there on twitter or other blogs I follow but again, expect that also to be largely dormant. Hopefully, I will be back next month after everything and everyone simmers down. So see you in a few, Guys!!
